Various logo + branding packages I’ve designed for my clients over the years.

I work closely with each client to get the exact look they are going for. I begin work with my clients by asking for their overall vision. We then create a Pinterest board together where we can work together to find inspirational imagery that evokes the look the client is going for.

We both post our logo inspiration, color inspiration and font inspiration to the Pinterest board. And then I wave my magic wand, and their perfect logo is created ;) Or something like that.

I then fill out their branding package to include whatever marketing materials they selected for their package. This can include sub-marks, business cards, thank you cards, or other supporting marketing materials.

Spencer of American Classic Coffee hired me to re-design his entire collection of coffee bag labels, 10 different flavor profiles in all.

This was a powerful collaboration, and both myself and the client were thrilled with the beautiful results we achieved with these stunning new labels.

I was the head graphic designer for the Jessica Simpson apparel collection from 2013 - 2016. I solely managed the entire graphics process from concept to design to production for all Juniors & Tween graphic apparel. I collaborated on a team of about 8 people on my direct team alongside multiple other departments including production & sales.

My design process started with researching new and emerging trends to create a unique seasonal concept/mood board full of inspirational imagery, color, fabric, typography and patterns to bring the story to life. I found my inspiration using social media, blogs, pinterest, online retailers, print publications and magazines. Online can only inspire so much, sometimes you have to see and touch in real life to get those ideas flowing, so weekly store visits were a must in addition to trade shows when available.

After all that beautiful conceptual research is compiled, I then organize the most compelling ideas and move into the design phase. This is where the magic happens and concepts come to life through typography, illustration, painting, photography, 3D effects and sometimes pictures of my cats.

Drew Johnson of TechWears hired me to design and build out his grant application for NextCycle Colorado. The idea was to make it look like a magazine with lots of hidden easter eggs and fun elements throughout the piece to catch the viewers eye and attention.

This was such a fun project and Drew was a dream client!

The was a rush project that had a 1 week turnaround. Deadline was met with about 10 billable hours.

Here’s a sampling of the freelance work I did for Tailgate Clothing in 2013. Tailgate has since been sold to American Eagle, but when I worked there it was owned by Todd Snyder, who was also a fashion designer who created high-end menswear.

I designed original and licensed apparel graphics for a multitude of clients, including Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, and dELiA*s.

This is a sampling of wedding stationery I’ve designed.

For my first wedding back in 2015 (I’m divorced) I watercolored the flowers and learned how to use a calligraphy pen for all the writing. I literally hand calligraphied (is that a word), EVERY. SINGLE. INVITATION. I don’t know why I thought that would be a good idea, but once I started there was no going back.

Not only did I design the invitations, I created coordinating stationery; the programs, the menus, the place cards and the thank you cards.

Ali is the creator and founder of the brand, "Lemon's House". She created this home goods collection in 2015. All of the wooden pieces were repurposed from christmas trees to give them a second life after christmas is over.

The collection includes wooden coasters, wooden candle holders, and homemade soy candles. In addition to the home goods, Ali does commissioned acrylic paintings on stretched canvas consisting of pet portraits, people, and landscapes.

This brand was born through one of my classes at DAAP in 2012. I designed this collection of throw pillows and called the brand "Pillow Talk". The objective of this class was to design a brand and collection to present to a local boutique in Cincinnati called MiCA 12/V. I got to present my collection to the owner herself, and she loved them and put them in her store!

These pillows were designed, hand-painted and sewn together with my own blood, sweat and tears. Just kidding, I don’t think any of those things were present during this process.. although I did get a little dizzy after spray painting those black and white pillows in my apartment with all the windows shut (brilliant idea).

I designed the custom ikat prints in illustrator, then used the templates to hand paint the designs onto each pillow. My perfectionist self was getting a little irritated that each pillow didn’t perfectly match the next one, but I was told people like that because it shows that each pillow is a unique work of art. So I agreed.

The "Reflections" and "Submerged" collections sold out in the MiCA 12/V store. Woohoo!

This was the job I got that finally brought me back to NYC in 2013. I worked as a Graphic Design Trainee at OshKosh B’Gosh for six months. The people there were nothing short of awesome and the design work was equally as awesome. Who can’t be happy while designing fun graphics for little kids? Here is a sampling of the boys & girls graphic tees I designed while I was there. Most of these graphics were hand drawn or hand painted.

After graduating from UC in 2012, this was my first internship out of school! I was a CAD, Print & Color design intern at Free People. I designed original prints, patterns and engineered repeats for the apparel collection. I also had the opportunity to work with vintage prints; cleaning and recoloring artwork and putting into repeat. Good times.
